Groups

At Kew Green Nursery, we have three teaching groups; Squirrels, Badgers and Hedgehogs. We provide specialist teaching across all three groups with greater emphasis on transition to Reception for our oldest children, who are in the Squirrels group.

Specialist teaching

Squirrels 3-4 years (Reception entry in Sep 2026)

These sessions are spread across morning and afternoons

• ICT lesson with the Head of Computing from the Prep school
• Foxes Club (football) session on Kew Green
• Bilingual Beats
• PE lesson on Kew Green with the Head of PE & Games staff from the Prep school
• Singing lesson with the Head of Music from the Prep school
• Art lesson with the Head of Art & DT from the Prep school
• Learning in Full Bloom with the Head of Nursery & Reception

Badgers 2-3 years (Reception in Sep 2027)

• Singing lesson with the Head of Music from the Prep school
• Foxes Club (football) session on Kew Green
• Bilingual Beats
• ICT lesson with the Head of Computing from the Prep school

Hedgehogs 2-3 years (Reception in Sep 2028)

• Singing lesson with the Head of Music from the Prep school
• Bilingual Beats
