Mr McClaughlin has a BA Hons degree in English, a PGCE, and a MBA Educational Leadership.

From the moment your child enters our Nursery, to when it is time for them to leave at the end of Year 6, self-esteem is prioritised at every phase, and they will be challenged and extended both within and beyond the classroom.

Mrs Heaton has a Bsc Hons degree and a PGCE in Primary Education. She also has an accredited Level 5 Diploma in Dyslexia and Specific Learning Difficulties.

With 26 years of teaching experience, I have dedicated the majority of my career to nurturing young minds, with the last 7 years spent as Head of Early Years at Kew Green Preparatory School. Throughout my career, I have developed a deep passion for early childhood education, with a particular focus on Early Years development. I am committed to creating a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment where young children can thrive, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love of learning.

As Head of Early Years, I have had the privilege of leading and guiding the Nursery and Reception programs at Kew Green Preparatory School, ensuring that each child receives the best possible start to their educational journey. I am particularly passionate about the significance of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), where the foundations for future academic success and personal development are laid. It is in these early years that children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development is nurtured through play-based learning, hands-on activities, and meaningful interactions.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is witnessing young children build strong friendships and foster a love of learning. I believe that a child’s well-being is at the heart of their ability to grow into happy, confident, and well-rounded adults. I make it a priority to create a supportive and inclusive environment where every child feels valued, respected, and encouraged to explore their interests and strengths.

At Kew Green Preparatory School, I am honored to head both the Nursery and Reception departments, and I am excited to continue shaping the future of our youngest learners. Every day brings new opportunities for fun, laughter, and discovery, and I am thrilled to be part of their educational journey. As a passionate advocate for early childhood education, I am dedicated to staying current with the latest research and teaching practices to ensure that our Early Years programs offer the highest standard of education. Ms Vranesic has a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood and Primary Education.

I am a qualified Early Years Teacher with seven years of experience in early childhood education, specialising in creating enriching learning environments that support the developmental needs of young children. I am deeply passionate about fostering children’s growth through play-based learning and nurturing their natural curiosity. I believe that the Early Years are a crucial period in a child’s life, filled with opportunities for exploration, discovery, and foundational learning.

Over the years, I have gained invaluable experience working with children across different age groups, developing a strong understanding of how children learn and grow at various stages of their early development. My approach focuses on personalised, child-centred learning, where I create activities that encourage creativity, critical thinking, and social skills development.

Currently, I am in my first year at Kew Green Nursery, where I am excited to continue working with young minds and fostering a lifelong love of learning. I see each day as an opportunity to positively impact the lives of the children I work with, helping them build strong foundations for their future academic and personal growth. It’s a privilege to witness the unique milestones each child reaches and to be part of their early educational journey.

As an Early Years Teacher, I am committed to staying updated with the latest teaching practices and educational research to ensure that every child I teach receives the best possible start in life. With over 20 years experience in Early Years education, I am deeply passionate about supporting young children during their most important developmental stages. I bring both professional knowledge and a nurturing approach to my work.

Living Local to Kew Green I value strong community connections. As a proud grandmother who loves family life, I understand the importance of creating a warm, caring and supportive environment for every child.

I am a dedicated Early Years Practitioner with over 30 years of experience as a teacher and principal within Early Years and Key Stage 1 settings. I moved to the UK in 2019 to be closer to my daughter and grandchildren and have since worked in both nursery and reception class settings. I joined Kew Green Preparatory School in March 2023 , first as a teaching assistant in Reception and now in the Squirrel’s class at the Nursery. Supporting young children’s activities learning and development is not just my profession but my lifelong passion.
